Style Crush Wednessday: Chika Ike!

Who knew this day would ever come?

It’s okay if you are surprised I’m crushing on Chika. I’m surprised myself. I’d never associated Chika Ike with fashion. but recently, she’s been hitting the right fashion notes and has definitely caught my attention.

Hopefully, this change is here to stay and in the meantime, she’s my style crush this week.

‘She looks like she’s a supermodel, cover of a fashion magazine. She looks like a queen and she knows.’ This part of MI’s song ‘Slow Down’ does it. It completely describes Beverly Naya‘s style. The very beautiful actress has never been found wanting in the ‘fashion ministry’. She is definitely not your go-to for casual styles but when it comes to red carpet and any other formal events, Beverly almost always makes the best-dressed list. <p style="text-align: justify;">On Monday, March 5, 2012 Journalist-Broadcaster Funmi Iyanda will join climbers from over 32 African countries in an advocacy climb up Mount Kilimanjaro.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The project organized by the Africa UNiTE campaign group is part of a crusade to end violence against women and girls.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The campaign groups have announced that ‘climbers’ which include Iyanda as mentioned, joins South African rock band the <strong>Parlotones</strong>, SA actress <strong>Rosie Motene</strong>, human rights lawyer, <strong>Ann Njogu</strong>, Congolese singer <strong>Barbara Kanam</strong>, and many African women and men are expected to arrive at Africa’s highest summit on Thursday, March 8, 2012 which falls on <strong>International Women’s Day</strong>.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">As part of activities, all African national flags will be displayed and the Africa commitments will be read out.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The climb is expected to last for three whole days as the climber will hike up on the Kilimanjaro in the freezing temperature and will camp outdoors, sleeping in sleeping bags without taking showers. They will then return on the fourth day.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Through this climb, Africa Unite plans to raise global awareness on ending violence against Women and Girls in Africa as well as secure concrete national commitments from African governments to be implemented by 2015 to end violence against women and girls.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Iyanda is not new to humanitarian-social causes. The black pants feature a thigh-high slit held together by a stripe fabric.

Bolanle first wore hers to an event in Abuja a while back, styling it with a black top from the same brand and a pair of rose gold heels.

She wore her hair down her back and kept her make-up clean to complete the chic look.

Gbemi on the other hand, wore hers to the Elite Model Look Nigeria 2017 event.

She paired it with a sheer black top and silver jewellery while styling her hair in a sleek ponytail and completed her beauty look with smokey eyes and glossy lips.
